Coconut yoghurt tzatziki

This is a yummy, creamy and dairy free alternative to your usual tzatziki which is traditionally made from from Greek yoghurt, cucumber and mint. This is a great accompaniment for a bbq spread, sharing tapas or mezzo with friends. It can be made the day before and stored in an airtight container.

  • 1 cup of coconut yoghurt

  • 1/2 cucumber, grated

  • 1 tbs chopped mint leaves

  • 1 clove of garlic crushed

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbs olive oil

  • 2 tbs water

  • salt & pepper



Combine all the ingredients. Place in an airtight tupperware and store in the fridge for a few hours to marinate. Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of sumac and a few mint leaves.
