Green alkalising smoothie

This yummy pretty pastel green smoothie is really energising and very easy to digest. 

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 small ripe bananas

  • 1 handful baby spinach

  • 1 small handful fresh mint 

  • 1 tbs coconut yoghurt

  • 2 cups almond milk (shop bought or homemade)

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1/2 ts raw honey or agave

  • 1 tbs lucuma (optional)


Place all in the blender and whiz till smooth with a couple of ice cubes. 


Add a dash of filtered water if you prefer it less thick. If you don't like mint, it can be ommitted, or you can use parsley instead. For a chocolate mint version add 1 tbs raw cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder. Tastes like an after-eight in a glass!
